The great Charles Thomas came by recently to taste us on his new wines. Fantastic stuff.
We especially enjoyed the 2013 Thomas Hsi Red Blend. 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the rest Merlot and a smidge of Petit Verdot. It’s a blockbuster: red and black fruits intermingle, wrapped in a gorgeous layer of cocoa, toffee and baking spices. Great acid, and restrained enough to be a great dinner companion. Impeccably balanced and built for the long haul but drinking beautifully now. Only 105 cases made.
